Step by step Eighteenth Century "Marlborough" Style Mens Wig.

I began by taking a headshape of the model using clingfilm...
Then I padded out the wig block to fit the cling film shape and made a wig lace...


I then sewed wefts of hair onto the lace leaving around 2 inches from the models hairline...

The remaining area around the hairline neded to be knotted...

I needed to create more length to the wig. This was achieved by making ladders of Galloon to attach to the wiglace with more wefts sewn to it...


The finished "Marlborough" Style wig...
